Travel Announcement!

Hello, hello Jetsetters!! I have an AWESOME announcement to make! Currently Bestie and I are in the planning stages for a 10 or 14-day trip to Japan in October 2024. I am absolutely pumped and can't wait to start making some concrete plans. Right now the tentative locations are going to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. We'd like to go to Nara to see the park of deer, check out the Fushimi Inari shrine in Kyoto along with the palaces, do a tea ceremony, explore as many Pokémon things as we can, experience as many Halloween things as we can, eat all of the good food, check out Harajuku and Shinjuku, visit shrines and temples, I'd like to check out this crazy amusement park at the base of Mt. Fuji called FujiQ Highlands, obviously SEE Mt. Fuji, view autumn leaves, and jeez I don't know what else. There's simply way too many things to list.

One of my new life goals, since the Iceland trip, is to eat at one super fancy restaurant in every country I visit. If they have a tasting menu, that's even better! It's such a fun experience and makes me feel bougie for one night before I go back to eating budget-friendly food. to make my money last the whole trip. If you all have any recommendations of restaurants with tasting menus or favorite restaurant experiences that we have to try, let me know! Or really any suggestions for the trip in general.

I think the hardest part will be narrowing everything down and really figuring out how long we need in each place to experience everything and also have some breathing room. As I learned from Ecuador, seeing everything is great, but taking time to slow down and appreciate what you have in the moment is incredibly necessary. At least for me, or I'll just be a ball of stress the whole trip!

That's it for right now, but as the planning becomes more concrete I'll be able to update you all and keep you in the loop! Have a great day, take care of yourselves, and be good to each other :)
